When I Started This Blog in 2010: A Journey of Growth and Purpose

When I started this blog in 2010, I didn’t know where I was going. All I knew was that I loved to write and share tips to help people. Writing was always my way of expressing myself, and I wanted to use my experiences to make a difference. But I didn’t have a clear plan. I had no idea how to structure a blog, what design to choose, or how to keep it consistent. All I had was a dream and the courage to take the first step.

At first, this blog focused on sales. I wrote about my real-life experiences working in the banking industry. For over 20 years, I learned valuable lessons about building relationships, closing deals, and navigating the fast-paced world of business. I wanted to share those lessons with others who might be starting their sales journey. My goal was to provide practical tips and inspire people to achieve their goals.

But as time went on, the blog began to change. It wasn’t just about sales anymore. I started exploring other topics close to my heart, like entrepreneurship, personal growth, and faith. Many of you who have been with me from the beginning probably noticed the changes. There were a lot of hiccups along the way. I struggled with consistency, doubted my choices, and made plenty of mistakes. Sometimes, I didn’t know which direction to take.

One of my biggest challenges was figuring out the design of the blog. Should I use light colors or dark colors? What fonts would look professional yet approachable? Should I include flyers or other materials? These decisions might seem small, but they were overwhelming at the time. I spent countless hours experimenting with different ideas, only to realize later that I still wasn’t satisfied. It was a journey of trial and error.

Through it all, I learned an important lesson: progress doesn’t happen overnight. Building something meaningful takes time, effort, and patience. It’s easy to look at successful people and assume they got there without struggles. But behind every success story is a journey filled with challenges, doubts, and setbacks. As Proverbs 16:3 says, “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.” I held on to this verse whenever I felt lost. It reminded me to trust God with my dreams and to keep moving forward, even when the path wasn’t clear.

I also realized that this blog wasn’t just about me. It was about helping others. I wanted to create a space where people could find encouragement, practical advice, and hope. Whether you’re starting a business, pursuing a new career, or simply trying to improve your life, I designed this blog to be a resource for you. My journey paved the way so that you don’t have to make the same mistakes I did. All you have to do is take action.

Action is the key to fulfilling your dreams. It’s not enough to have a vision; you need to take steps toward it every day. James 2:17 says, “Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” Believing in your dreams is important, but you must also work hard and stay committed. There will be days when you feel discouraged, but don’t give up. Remember that every small step you take brings you closer to your goals.

Looking back, I’m grateful for every challenge I faced. Each struggle taught me something valuable. I learned to be patient, to trust God, and to embrace the process. I also learned that it’s okay to start small. Zechariah 4:10 says, “Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.” If you’re just starting your journey, don’t worry about being perfect. Focus on taking the first step, and trust that God will guide you the rest of the way.

Today, this blog is a reflection of my journey—a journey of growth, resilience, and faith. It’s not perfect, and it’s still evolving. But it’s a testament to what’s possible when you take a leap of faith and follow your passion. My hope is that this blog inspires you to pursue your dreams and to believe in yourself, even when the road gets tough.

If you’re on the path to entrepreneurship, know that you’re not alone. There will be moments of doubt, fear, and frustration. But there will also be moments of joy, accomplishment, and fulfillment. Stay focused on your “why”—the reason you started in the first place. For me, it was the desire to help others and to honor God with my work. Whatever your “why” is, let it guide you through the ups and downs.

I encourage you to take time to reflect on your journey. Write down your goals, your struggles, and your victories. Celebrate your progress, no matter how small it may seem. And most importantly, stay rooted in faith. Psalm 37:5 says, “Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him, and He will act.” Trust that God has a plan for your life, and keep moving forward with confidence.

As I continue this blogging journey, I’m excited about what’s ahead. There’s still so much to learn and share. I’m grateful for every person who has supported this blog over the years. Your encouragement means the world to me. Together, we can create a community of dreamers, doers, and believers who uplift one another and make a positive impact in the world.

To anyone reading this, I want you to know that you have what it takes to succeed. Don’t let fear or doubt hold you back. Take the first step, and trust that God will lead you the rest of the way. Remember Matthew 19:26: “With God, all things are possible.” Keep believing, keep working, and keep trusting. Your journey is just beginning, and I can’t wait to see where it takes you.

Thank you for being part of my story. Let’s keep growing, learning, and dreaming together. The best is yet to come.
